Newie by Terrence Malick To the Wonder (2012)
The plot is very straightforward, implied by the images. Trees, sky, modern and simple (sterile) interiors. American photography.
Sometimes I thought that the camera is unbelievably free, sometimes that the movement is empty attraction.
For those whose life is everlasting strolling through the fields this is paradise.
But lately Bilge Ebiri quite well commented on my impression suggesting that Malick makes rather symphonic than narrative piece, and that he photographs the actors rather in the moments of dance than in those of an “ordinary” action.
