SR: Three Monkeys EN

Three Monkeys (2008) by Nuri Bilge Ceylan
Has a meticulous atmosphere of reality, lives from little used up flat. But we are not used to Turkish life.
Slow rhythm drags into the shots that by laconic details playfully suggest in advance what is later revealed as taking place.
And in addition, from time to time, horror exactly at the edge of reality, and the unbelievable images. How long does one have to stand on the balcony to see falling night and coming storm?
Once Upon a Time in Anatolia (2011) remains my favourite, but Monkeys offer identic qualities.
