SR: Tess EN

Tess (1979) by Roman Polanski
First part is a Polish-British variation on Malick’s dusk fields in Days of Heaven (1978). It has a life of fragile girl at the austere rustic farms – like Sillanpää’s Fallen Asleep While YoungThe plot is bound by British puritanism and at the same time it has almost Russian passions, Onegin hovers around all the time. And its end is flooded with such an atmosphere that you do not even mind what happens.
